Become a Patron

By joining the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums you are supporting the restoration, preservation, and conservation of a divine legacy of what is possibly the greatest collection of sacred art in the entire world. Michigan Patrons support the Vatican Museums through their annual membership donations and by participating in Chapter-sponsored fundraising events held throughout the year.

There are several levels of membership available, and each offers exclusive benefits.

  • Affiliate Patron
  • Associate Patron
  • Conservator Patron
  • Junior Patron
  • Clergy Conservator Patron

A description of the levels and benefits of membership follows. To become a Patron or to renew your Patron membership, select the appropriate level and supply the requested information on the electronic form that appears. You will be prompted to pay your annual dues using a credit card.  If you have questions or prefer, please contact our membership chairperson directly (see Contact information).  Membership year is Aug 1-July 31.

Patron Membership Levels and Benefits

Affiliate Patron

Affiliate Patron membership is a perfect way to support the Vatican Museums, especially if you are unable to travel or otherwise participate in local or international events. Affiliate benefits include:

  • A tax deductible donation in the amount of the annual dues
  • Subscription to The Vatican Museums Report from the International Director
  • Subscription to PAVM eNewsletter
  • Subscription to Michigan Chapter and International newsletters
  • Notices and mailings for upcoming events

Note: You may upgrade membership level at anytime during the year by paying the difference in dues.

Affiliate Patron | $75

Associate Patron

Associate Patron membership includes all the benefits of the Affiliate Patron, PLUS:

  • Invitations to participate in all local Chapter events, e.g., annual holiday dinner, specialty dinners, receptions, lectures, trips for adventure and pilgrimage in the US
  • Invitation to participate in events planned by the International Patrons, including multi-day Vatican cultural events, trips, cruises, and pilgrimages outside the US

Associate Patron | $300 Individual

Associate Patron | $600 per couple

Conservator Patron:

Conservator Patron level includes all the benefits afforded the Associate Patron level, PLUS, when in Rome and the Vatican:

  • Welcome visit to the Office of the Patrons in the Apostolic Palace
  • Complementary private tour of the Vatican Museums with a Vatican Museum tour guide
  • No waiting in line for entrance into the Museums
  • Complimentary and unlimited entrance into the Vatican Museums
  • Invitation to view areas of the Museums closed to the public (with your private guide; see Patron-Visit-Request-Form for suggestions)
  • Viewing of a restoration in progress at the Restorations Laboratories
  • Tickets to the Wednesday Papal Audience with special seating (based on the Holy Father’s schedule)
  • Special access to St. Peter’s Basilica
  • Entrance into the Vatican Gardens
  • 30% discount at all Vatican Museum gift shops
  • Invitation to Vatican ceremonies for important restoration unveilings (sometimes presided over by the Holy Father!)

Conservator Patron | $600 Individual

Conservator Patron | $1200 per couple

Junior Patron

Junior Patron membership is offered for persons between the ages of 18 and 35. Junior Patrons receive the same benefits as Conservator Patrons.

Jr. Membership (under 35) | $250

Clergy Patron

Members of the clergy and religious are welcome to join the Patrons at a substantially reduced rate and enjoy all the benefits offered to Conservator Patrons.
